Frequently asked questions.

Do you offer counselling in Cantonese?

Yes. Counselling is available in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.

I've never been to counselling before. Is that okay?

Absolutely.

You don't need previous counselling experience, a diagnosis, or a clear explanation of what's wrong. We can start by talking about what's been happening and what brought you here.

What can I expect from the first session?

The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, discuss what's bringing you to counselling, and explore what you'd like support with.

We'll work together to determine what direction makes sense for you.

How long is each session?

Individual and couples sessions are 60 minutes.

How much does counselling cost?

Individual counselling is $160 per 60-minute session.

Couples and pre-marital counselling is $180 per 60-minute session.

Do you provide ICBC counselling?

Yes. I am an ICBC Health Services Provider and provide counselling support related to motor vehicle accident recovery.

Do you work with couples?

Yes. Couples and pre-marital counselling are available.

What if I'm not sure whether counselling is right for me?

That's okay.

You don't need to be in crisis to seek counselling. If something in your life isn't working the way you'd like, that can be reason enough to reach out.

If you're unsure, you're welcome to get in touch and we can discuss whether counselling may be a good fit.
